Joint infiltrations are a medical procedure indicated for the treatment of pain and inflammation in different joints of the body, such as the knee, shoulder, hip or spine. They are frequently used in pathologies such as osteoarthritis, tendonitis, bursitis or chronic inflammatory processes.

The treatment consists of theadministration of medication directly inside the joint or in the periarticular structures, using a precise and sterile technique. Depending on the case, anti-inflammatory drugs, local anesthetics or other indicated substances may be used to reduce pain and improve function.

The main objective is to relieve symptoms, reduce inflammation and promote functional recovery, allowing the patient to return to their daily activities with greater comfort.

Before performing the infiltration, a complete medical evaluation is carried out to confirm the indication and guarantee maximum safety. It is a quick procedure, performed in consultation, with subsequent follow-up and within an individualized therapeutic plan.
